Christophe was born on the 3rd of August 1983 at Enghien les Bains, a town in the Paris suburbs. He spent a peaceful childhood there with his sister and parents, who ran a driving school. At 7 years old, his adventure with music began; he was given the choice: piano or weightlifting, he chose piano. His next step was singing lessons with a professor with jazz influences, and he learnt a lot at that time about jazz, soul, and also the classics of disco and pop music. Very soon, he used all these influences in shows he put on at school, and also as director of a gospel choir, with which he gave recitals. African American music is indeed one of his major influences.   It’s during one of these recitals that he was spotted and asked to appear in a musical film: “Alive” by Maxim Nucci (2004), in which he sang the original soundtrack “pourquoi j’ai mal”. Meanwhile, he undertook brilliant studies at university, intending to become a teacher in communication studies. During the winter 2005/2006, his sister put his name down for the Pop Idol auditions in Toulouse and he succeeded in surprising the judges twice during his short performance: -          Due to the colour of his sweater at first, which, along with his general posture, inspired Marianne James, one of the judges, with his nickname: tortoise; it will stick with the young singer for a long time, even though, as it does not fit his personality at all, it is now a thing of the past. -          But also and above all due to his voice, his groove, the way in which he inhabits his short interpretation of Strong Enough (Des’ree).   He is of course selected, clearly surpasses the other contestants, and after a perfect run, as expected, he wins the final hands down.   Following his victory, he meets Bertrand Burgalat and his team, Philippe Catherine, and particularly Zazie, his idol; together they take nine months to record “Inventaire”, his first album which is extremely successful, thanks in particular to the two great hits written by Zazie “Double Je” and “Jacques a dit”.   Then comes the triumphal “Inventaire” tour, from autumn 2007 to summer 2008, which attracts hundreds of thousands of people of all origins, ages, and social backgrounds, a great melting pot, united around this extremely federative music; the electronic arrangements, the crystal clear piano voice versions, and the mind-blowing groove reveal that Christophe does indeed possess talent of an incredible scope and touches all souls without exception.   Spring 2009: release of Caféine, a highly accomplished album with polished arrangements, specialised sounds, and a deliberate electronic touch. Christophe treated himself for this opus to some English artistic collaborations (Guy Chambers, Tina Harris, Pete Boxsta Martin...) for the arrangements, the composition and the production; he even recorded a duet with Kylie Minogue, “Sensitized”, based on a tune by Gainsbourg, with sensual words, as is the case for many other songs in Caféine, an album which tells the tale of a love story and all its phases, from encounter to break-up...With its energising electro music and melancholic or sensual  ballads, Caféine reveals once again the whole extent of Christophe’s talent.   As for the words, ethereal and subtle, they were written for most of the songs by the sublime singer, Skye; a surprising and effective mixture, which should explode on stage during the Coffee Tour, kicking off in May 2010...keep your eyes open!   We wish to thank all the photographers for their lovely photos of Christophe. Il connait une enfance paisible entre sa sœur et ses parents, dirigeants d'une auto école. C'est à 7 ans qu'il rencontre la musique, il avait le choix entre piano et haltères, ce fut piano. Il continue sa progression artistique en prenant des cours de chant auprès d'un professeur d'influence jazz, et se forge à cette époque une solide culture musicale, entre jazz, soul, mais aussi incontournables du disco et de la pop. Très vite il se sert de toutes ces influences pour monter des spectacles dans son lycée, mais aussi pour diriger une chorale d'influence gospel, avec laquelle il donne des récitals. La musique noire américaine fait d'ailleurs partie de ses influences majeures. C'est à cette occasion qu'il est repéré pour figurer dans un film musical : "Alive" de Maxim Nucci (2004), dont il chante la BO " pourquoi j'ai mal" Parallèlement, il poursuit de brillantes études universitaires, et se destine au métier de professeur de communication. hiver 2005/2006: inscrit par sa sœur au casting de la Nouvelle Star dans la ville de Toulouse, il réussit la performance de surprendre le jury 2 fois au cours de sa courte prestation: - par la couleur de son pull déjà , qui , avec sa posture générale, donnera l'idée à Marianne James, l'un des jurés, de le comparer à une tortue: le surnom restera longtemps associé au jeune chanteur , même si, ne collant pas du tout à sa personnalité, il fait partie maintenant des souvenirs. - mais aussi et surtout par sa voix, son groove, la manière dont il habite sa courte interprétation de Strong Enough (Des’ree) Il est bien sûr sélectionné, fait un parcours sans faute, tant il surpasse les autres candidats de manière évidente, et c'est sans surprise qu'il gagne haut la main la Finale. Suite à sa victoire il rencontre Bertrand Burgalat et son équipe, Philippe Catherine, mais surtout Zazie, son idole; ensemble ils mettront 9 mois à enregistrer " Inventaire", premier album qui connaitra un succès foudroyant, en particulier grâce aux 2 mega tubes écrits par Zazie " Double Je" et " Jacques a dit". La tournée "Inventaire", triomphale, suivra entre fin 2007 et l'été 2008, drainant des centaines de milliers de spectateurs de tous horizons, de tous âges, de tout milieu social, joli melting pot réuni dans cette musique hyper fédératrice ; Arrangements électrisants, pianos voix cristallins, groove hallucinant Christophe possède en effet ce talent d'une incroyable étendue, qui touche toutes les âmes sans exception aucune. Printemps 2009: sortie de Caféine, album très abouti , aux arrangements ciselés, aux sons hyper pointus, une tendance plus électro, choix délibéré de Christophe qui s'est offert, pour cet opus, des collaborations artistiques anglaises ( Guy Chambers, Tina, Harris, Pete Boxsta Martin....) pour les arrangements , la composition et la production; il enregistre même un duo avec Kylie Minogue, "Sensitized", mélodie gainsbourienne, et texte sensuel, comme d'ailleurs beaucoup des textes de Caféine, dont les chansons racontent une histoire d'amour dans tous ses états, de la rencontre à la rupture....de l'électro énergisant aux ballades mélancoliques ou sensuelles, Caféine une fois de plus exploite toute l'étendue du talent de Christophe. Côté textes, c'est la sublime Skye qui habille de sa plume éthérée et subtile la majorité des chansons; cocktail étonnant et efficace, qui devrait exploser sur scène au cour du Coffee Tour, dont le coup d'envoi sera donné en mai 2010......à suivre !   Nous voudrions remercier tous les photographes pour leurs magnifiques photos de Christophe.
