Kate Moss wants to launch her own range of jams

Tuesday, August 10th, 2010 by mattj

In the lighter, and tastier, side of the news:

Supermodel Kate Moss is hoping to create a business selling her own homemade preserves after perfecting her recipes at her country estate in the Cotswolds.

A source told The Sun newspaper, “Kate bought a load of expensive equipment because she’s always been keen on the idea of making jam.

“She has so much fruit on her land she wanted to put it to good use.

“It started as a hobby, but she’s taking it a lot more seriously after glowing feedback from friends and family. She’s hoping her plum conserve will be a hit with the public.”

Kate, who has been helped by her seven-year-old daughter Lila Grace to make the jam, got hooked on the process of making preserves after finding bunches of damson plums in her garden.

After positive feedback from family and friends, the 36-year-old beauty has sent samples of the product, tentatively called ‘Kate’s Damson Jam,’ to some of her celebrity pals, including Simon Cowell. No word on whether Cowell was able to keep it down.

She has also called her friend, billionaire retailer Sir Philip Green, to get advice on how to get the jams stocked in supermarkets.
